Welcome to the Joanna Scott Foundation

We are a Cumbrian based registered charity who support young people in their present and future careers in architecture and the built environment.

About us

Joanna Scott was born a railwayman’s daughter in the north of Cumbria.

Bursaries

We offer a means-tested Bursary to young people under the age of 21 who are resident in the County of Cumbria and are studying architecture at degree level.

Workshops

We aim to deliver several school Design Day Workshops across Cumbria throughout the academic year.

Design Competition

We develop the site and brief from one of our Design Day Workshops to form the basis for our national architectural Student Design Competition
